Vision and Values
In essense, every Christian church is a group of people following Jesus. Churches also have unique visions, values, gatherings, and distinctives.
Vision
Finding and following Jesus together in our neighborhood.
Key Values
Jesus is central. We're a church that believes following Jesus is the center of Christian faith.
Everyone is invited. We seek to be a community of belonging and inclusiveness.
Care for the neighborhood. We live in Glover Park and focus on Glover Park.
We all help out. We believe Church is a team sport.
Keep it simple. We keep it simple, so we can keep main things, main things.
Beliefs
Glover Park Church is a place where you can belong before you believe. The Nicene Creed expresses the basics of the beliefs that ground all we do. It's been around for almost 2000 years!
Our Gatherings
We gather to practice our faith together. There are some core ideas we remember every time we gather, as well as unique monthly rhythms to help us develop a wholistic faith.
What We Remember
Every week we remind ourselves of 3 things:
God is love, so it's all about love.
Jesus is God, so we follow Jesus.
God is up to something, so we pay attention.
Rhythms of Gathering
Worship isn't confined to once a week gathering, it's anything we do to follow Jesus by loving God and loving others. We believe that following Jesus should happen in gathered spaces (like a church service or bible study) and in scattered spaces (like caring for your neighbor or volunteering). So, we have 2 monthly gatherings, and we encourage people to get together throughout the month to worship in other ways.
1st Sundays: Pop-Up Dinner Church
6pm at Point Chaud
To grow in community and in our faith, we eat dinner and go through a liturgy that includes scripture, prayers, songs, readings, and encouragement.
3rd Sundays: Dinner & Bible Study
6pm at the Clark's
To grow in community and engage our mind in our faith, we eat dinner and study a chapter of the Bible around 4 questions: 1) What does is say? 2) What does it mean? 3) Why does it matter? 4) If it's true, what do I do?

Dinner Church Food Fund
Sharing is caring - We collectively share the cost of food. Some of us are able to pay more than others, so please give what you can. At Point Chaud on 1st Sundays, we have a fixed (and delicious menu) that anyone can order from that will be paid for by our collective donations.
Please consider covering the cost of the meal for you and someone else by clicking the button below.
